Immunity from CoVid-19: Be a Republican

Steve Bennen, "A 'glaring partisan divide' in public attitudes on coronavirus", March 16, 2020, 10:19 AM EDT.

"while 61% of Democrats said they're steering clear of gatherings, roughly half (30%) of Republicans said the same thing"  [This means that, if there are 100 Democrats and 100 Republicans, 40 Democrats will vote for Democrats, and 70 Republicans will show up to vote for Republicans.]

So, IF NOT going to vote is a means of "steering clear of gatherings", does this mean that 61% of Democrats, hoping to keep coronavirus-free, will avoid the public gathering of showing up to vote?

Democrats who prioritize their personal health above the outcome of an election may well act this way.  Democrats who believe that if they behave in ways likely to keep them infection free, will decide that the chance of dying of pneumonia is worth the risk of showing up to vote.
