Race or Species: Do White Supremacists Want To Eat Black People?

 From the perspective of mainstream science, that is, of people who try to follow the scientific method to reach conclusions, race does not exist.  That is, the characteristics of people -- their physical attributes, that makes up who they are -- exists on a continuum so that making a distinction between groups of people is arbitrary at the borders -- "one drop of negro blood" makes one Black; why "one drop"?

However, the way that some people speak of the people of different races suggests that a person's race is obvious, and that belonging to a specific race confers specific essential differences between different races.  The differences usually cited, though, belong to attributes usually considered as "accidental" differences when found within their own race.  For example, if a person of race-X is lazy, that is an essential property of that race, whereas, if a person of race-Y is lazy, their laziness is an accidental property of that person and not an essential property of their race.

The contention by racists or race supremacists is that people of different races are essentially different is more congruent with the idea that different groups of people are different species.  Different breeds of dogs can mate -- shepards and poodles can mate and produce offspring who can produce offspring -- whereas dogs and cats or lions and tigers or horses and donkeys will not produce fertile offspring, they are different species.

One thing about being a member of a different species is that we can treat members of that different species in ways that we would not treat members of our own species:  we eat cows, but not humans.  Being a member of another species generally gives a human the "right" to eat it, whether a member of that other species wants to be eaten or not. 

By the way, Neanderthals and Denisovians are apparently members of the human species as they have left traces of their DNA in the current human genome.

Another thing is that White Supremacist language is in line with talk about "breeds", as in "the different breeds of dogs", as they seem to highly value "purity of blood" and express disdain for people of "mongrel" blood.  

I would warn them, though, that "pure bread" is also inbred; and that many "pure bread" breeds have significant genetic problems.

I wonder how people would respond if White Supremacists held a "Miss Universe" type beauty contest?
