''Theory''

Capitalism is not a political system -- whatever ''politics'' means.

Capitalism is a theory of human behavior.  ''Theory'' in the sens of ''music theory'':  rules that define the language of music.  Definition of a chord, a key, time signature, whatever -- what defines ''Western'' music; there are other such theories of music.  But also a ''theory'' as in ''scientific theory'', or ''science'' which describes of system of how the world works, and how one arrives at these conclusions.

I am too insignificant to be diagnosed as ''autistic'', and too tired to try and get a believable diagnosis through using my own resources, i.e. insurance.  Even with insurance, one is required to find one's own doctor, and determine their credentials, their competency, their truthfulness, their trustworthiness, and so on.

But, pretend or assume that I am.

This will allow me to speak frankly, and hopefully, put you in the mindset or attitude to give objective consideration of what I mean to say to you.

Has your society bread out of, or selected for, ''passive'' individuals, as opposed to ''self-directed'' individuals?  By ''passive'', I mean behaving like cattle or sheep or wildebeest, in the sense of being herd animals who seem to find basic contentment in simple existence and do not exert effort beyond basic sustenance.  Wildebeest are many and exist in herds, living off what the ground produces in the form or vegetation.  Lions live off wildebeest, and so there can only be a few lions because it takes a lot of vegetation to produce enough wildebeest to sustain a lion.

The fox experiment initiated by Dimitry Belyae, is thought provoking:  can people be bread to be passive?  One form or evolution or breeding it to intentionally select for a particular characteristic through gene selection and epigenetics -- those conditions which affect how genes express themselves.  Or place the being in an environment -- a system or rewards and punishments -- which select for particular behaviors (and their ''motivations'' or ''feelings'' or ''emotions'') which in turn result in a higher rate of reproduction among those beings having this trait.

In other words, survival in order to reproduce in Russia, requires for most Russians to be politically passive.

The problem is not that the people are ''passive'', but that those who are not -- the ''leaders'' -- are evil.  And the problem of simply getting rid of the ''evil'' leader, only means that subordinate evil people, who have been waiting in line for the fall of the ''evil'' leader, will simply step up to take the previous ''evil'' leader's place.  ''Meet the new boss/ same as the old boss." [We Won't Be Fooled Again]

I believe that all people want, to some extent, to simply be part of the herd ... but not all the time.  This is the curse or blessing of rationality.  Rationality, imposed on Consciousness enables humans to propose theories of reality which are used to direct behavior which has a effect on reality, and so on.

Rationality versus a theory of Rationality.

Science tries to describe precisely and systematically what works and why.  It is also a system or craft or art that tries to answer these questions.

People cannot be too passive and leaders cannot be too greedy.  There must be some kind of balance such that leaders take from the people only what the people are willing to give.  Otherwise you have food riots and eventually the leader is overthrown.  The result is not necessarily a ''better'' system.
